Faith That Moves Mountains

Can your faith move a mountain? As we look at mountains in various places, it is hard to imagine anything moving them. However Jesus said in Matt. 17, that if we had "the faith the size of a mustard seed, you could move a mountain." We often say that we have faith without understanding the gravity of the statement. Do we have the faith when faced with the loss of a job, disappointments, when we don't know what to do? Do we have the faith to trust and believe His Word that "all things work together for good for them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose?" Rom. 8:28 It is so easy to have faith when things are going well. But the true test of our faith is when things have taken a detour and decided to go in another direction! We start to look for answers and the answers don't come. We attempt to fix it in our own strength, only to find we don't have what is needed to make it whole again. So what do you do? Turn to friends, co-workers, family or other means of depositing your despair? Solomon admonishes us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path." Are you facing a mountain in your life today? Have faith in God that He can take care of it. He goes on to say in Matt. 17:20, that if you have the "faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." So exercise your faith today and watch the miraculous happen!
